Generation I was when the initial set of Pokémon games released, bringing with it 151 wonderful creatures. This generation was in the Kanto region, and started with the Japanese Pokémon games Pokémon Red and Green, then later joined by Pokémon Blue, these three games were combined into the international Pokémon Red and Green; the special edition Pokémon Yellow was later released (which was where I started my journey!). Two side-series games were also released, both named Pokémon Stadium (one released in Japan only).
